Watch only the subreddits you choose

Keep monitoring all of Reddit, or narrow your alerts down to a handful of subreddits you pick.

Watch only the subreddits you choose

Watch all of Reddit, or just the parts you care about

By default, RedShip watches all of Reddit for you. Every subreddit, every post and comment, plus anything that mentions your competitors. Casting a wide net means you never miss a conversation, even in a community you'd never have thought to check.

But some teams already know exactly where their buyers hang out. If that's you, watching all of Reddit is more than you need.

What's new

You can now choose between two modes for your search:

  • All of Reddit (the default) keeps things exactly as they are today. We monitor everything and you can exclude the subreddits you don't want.
  • Chosen subreddits flips it around. You pick a handful of subreddits, and RedShip only sends you alerts from those. Everything else is ignored, even if it matches your keywords.

How it works

Go to Monitoring config → Include / Exclude. At the top you'll see a switch: "What should RedShip watch?"

Pick Chosen subreddits, add the communities you care about, and you're done. From that moment, your live feed and alerts only include posts and comments from those subreddits.

Changed your mind? Switch back to All of Reddit anytime. We keep both lists, so nothing is lost when you flip between them.

Why it matters

If your customers live in three or four specific subreddits, this turns a busy inbox into a focused one. Fewer alerts, all of them from places that matter to you, and no noise from the rest of Reddit.

Open Monitoring config and try it on your search.
